Commercial Law: Secured Transactions

University of Kansas (KU) Law Professor Stephen Ware began teaching Secured Transactions in 1994.  He has taught Secured Transactions, either as a stand-alone course or as part of a broader Commercial Law course, over twenty times.  He has taught Secured Transactions at KU, William & Mary, and Cumberland.

KU Law’s Course Description for Law 873, Commercial Transactions: Secured Transactions, is: Introduction to commercial transactions under the Uniform Commercial Code.  Emphasis on secured transactions and the interplay between Article 9 of the Code and the trustee’s powers under the Federal Bankruptcy Act.  Analysis of basic problems in the area of consumer credit.  Required course.
